My Story

I grew up in the small town of Diana, Texas, where I was the one man high school swim team and would drive to a nearby city to train with a club team. Between swimming, cross country, and track, I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was building the perfect foundation to one day become a great triathlete.

My first triathlon came as a junior in high school, and after the race a friend invited me to ride home with him and some buddies… an 80-mile ride. That was all it took for me to decide triathletes were completely insane, and I figured I’d never touch the sport again.

But during my years at Texas A&M, triathlon found its way back into my life. What started as casual interest quickly turned into passion when I discovered I not only enjoyed the sport, but I was actually pretty good at it. I hired a coach, committed to training, and by the time I finished college, I had qualified for my professional license. I accepted it in 2018 and raced short course about once a year while studying for my career outside of sport.

In 2021, I stepped away from professional racing to focus on my chiropractic career. Shortly into practice, I built my own office from scratch and worked closely with athletes every day, eventually serving as a sports therapist for the PTO at their U.S. Open and U.S. T100 events. But even as my career grew, the desire to compete never left. I wanted to chase a national title and see what I could become if I went all-in. I wanted a real chance at the professional side of triathlon, this time with full dedication.

So in July of 2025, I made the hardest and most meaningful decision of my life: I closed my chiropractic office to focus entirely on coaching and training as a professional triathlete. I’m pouring everything—my time, energy, finances, and belief into becoming the best athlete I can be. I come from humble beginnings and little support, but I’ve built myself into someone who refuses to quit on big ambitions.

Even though my journey is self-made, it’s not one I walk alone. The athletes I coach through Train Pegasus push me every day and support my career in ways I’m very blessed to have. My fiancée’s support is the backbone of this entire pursuit, I couldn’t do any of this without her encouragement and belief in me.

Right now, I’m a lower-ranked pro with big goals. But I know I have the skill, the foundation, the work ethic, and the resilience to rise. My story is proof that where you start doesn’t define where you can go and I’m committed to working relentlessly until I become one of the best triathletes in the world.
